Meanwhile, the excellent Cornwall24 site has a forum that discusses all things Cornish; there is an on-going 'StopTheMarina! Update' running thread. They have a good bunch of regular posters with a wide range of opinions and views. To go straight to the Cornwall24 forum click here.

The other forum worth monitoring is at Newlyn.info although we mention this with some reservation. This site was set up to assist the aspirations of the Newlyn Fish Industry Forum and regularly acts as a mouthpiece for its ‘pro-regenerationist’ views. If you go to the PNP team's website 'contact page' you'll see Newlyn.info openly listed under 'regeneration'. The administrator, Gabriella Nonino (sandswimmer.net), is an outspoken supporter of all the development schemes having gate-crashed our inagural meeting together with John Lamborne (also well-known as being pro-regeneration). At this meeting they vociferously endeavoured to put their misguided point of view across to us despite the meeting having been clearly reported as being intended for our potential supporters. When we made it clear they were unwelcome, they became both disruptive and impolite.

Ms Nonino is also the web designer for Newlyn Harbour, Newlyn Fish Festival, The Handline Fisherman's Association and NewlynFish. She has written letters to the Cornishman (in her private capacity)  which show unequivocal support for the regeneration schemes. We would therefore contend that  it would be difficult for Ms Nonino to maintain an unbiased position running her web sites given these circumstances and track record!
